Going to a (Tea) Party?

By now, you have probably heard about the Tax Day Tea Parties taking place all over America on Wednesday, April 15. We have previously listed locations (and times) where many Tea Parties will be taking place. Perhaps your local or state Constitution Party committee has secured a table or booth at your local Tea Party event. In that case, please volunteer to be on hand to distribute literature, tell people about the Constitution Party and answer questions.

Even if the Constitution Party has no official presence at your local event, you can still share the message of the Constitution Party by bringing Constitution Party materials with you to the Tea Party and handing them out to attendees. If you don't presently have any materials handy and don't have time to order any, you can always download literature directly from the Constitution Party National Website. Please go to http://www.constitutionparty.com/download_literature.php to find out how to easily download and print either or both of our most popular pieces of literature: the "Statue of Liberty" Brochure and the "Not Yours To Give" brochure. Both pieces include messages that will be particularly appropriate for these Tax Day "Tea Party" events.

Keep in mind that, unfortunately, many Americans still don't even realize that the Constitution Party exists. These events, which will be taking place all across the nation, provide us with a wonderful opportunity to expose the Constitution Party to large groups of people who should be particularly receptive to our message.
Remember, too, that when you attend one of these events and share information about the the Constitution Party with the public, you are an ambassador for the Constitution Party. You may be the first member of the Constitution Party that many people have ever met. It is important to portray a positive image so that Tea Party attendees will view the Constitution Party in the most favorable light.

If you are a candidate for office, supporting a Constitution Party candidate for office who is circulating a nomination petition, or if your state Constitution Party affiliate has already begun its ballot access petition drive for 2010, these events should provide a great opportunity for you to get signatures on those petitions.

Likewise, if you reside in a state where you can register to vote as a member of your Constitution Party affiliate, by all means make sure to secure voter registration forms and have them available when you attend your Tea Party. A great number of voters who are sufficiently motivated to attend a Tea Party are already "Constitution Party members in waiting." It may just be a matter of you making the first move and inviting them to register into the Constitution Party.

YOU have the message that most Americans are anxious to hear. Have fun spreading the word for freedom and constitutional government that is the message of the Constitution Party!

Good luck and enjoy the party!
